area ratios. The economical construction approach utilized internet
plans modified to suit. The layout can be an upper and lower condo,
or a home with elder care for today's "Sandwich Generation."

Ahlfield Residence
Devastated by tornados during the storm surge of Hurricane Isabelle, this historic home needed to be approached as a conservation project. Built by a family of boat builders two centuries ago, original growth lumber was re-sawn to match replacement of timbers in kind. All of the modern systems were carefully integrated so as not to degrade this jewel of Tidewater colonial architecture.
